As a matter of interest, what did you use before? More importantly, what do
you want to do?

OOBase is only as good as the database you are using, and there is nothing
wrong with PostgreSQL or MySQL. The default database, HSQLDB or something
like that, has never given me anything but a constant headache! Having said
that, I do find it a bit stubborn at times.

You could check out http://www.kexi-project.org/ - it's an alternative to
Microsoft Access, but I have not messed around with it at all and it seems
to depend on KDE.

Please tell us what background you have, it sounds like you might be better
off using PHP coupled with MySQL or PostreSQL, but that's just a wild guess.

Best regards
Ewald
