[xubuntu-users] xubuntu 14.04 beta testing, has the panel at the bottom of the screen been removed officially?

Personally I almost never use the default bottom panel because I'm used to
using application launcher menus in Windows and Kubuntu.

I think I moved the default bottom panel to the side and top panel to the
bottom, and then set auto-hide on both. I like that it's so easily to
customize.

Unless you're trying to deploy a specific configuration to many machines,
it shouldn't be a big deal to spend a few minutes customizing. Or (as Elfy
mentioned), you can hopefully avoid the whole issue by carrying forward an
old config.
