I changed from KDE3 to GNOME2 two years ago because I didn't like all
these "enhancements" in KDE4. I wanted an "old fashioned" Desktop.
Now I tried Ubuntu 11.10 in a virtual machine: GNOME3 is on the same
bad trip as KDE4 and Unity is definitely no option at all!
Since "thunar" is now able to use the smb-protocol I gave xfce another
Chance (Xubuntu 12.04 alpha 2 in a virtual machine) and was really
happy: This is exactly want I want ;-)))
So I thought, I could make a "5 year holiday" until I have to decide
again...
