Hey,

per the LTS application of Xubuntu and the approval of Technical Board 
[1], Xubuntu stays in 3-year LTS cycles. This is because the Xubuntu 
developers do not think they can give LTS support for five years, mostly 
because Xfce isn't supported that long upstream.
