packages.ubuntu.com says it's still available. It could be a temporary
problem with the availability of the repository, so be sure to try again in
a while.

If so, is there a way to upgrade from edgy to

You can upgrade from edgy to feisty to gutsy to hardy, but I'd say the
chance that it'll work out as you wish is slim. The best way is to backup
all of your data and do a clean installation, and install /home onto a
separate partition next time so you *can* preserve all your documents and
settings in a new installation.
