We need at least 3 PPC testers who are willing to do a test installation of
the PPC image on this page:
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/xubuntu/ports/daily-live/current/

That is the 4/15/07 image, the same build that was used as the final release
of Xubuntu on i386 and AMD64. If the PPC tests are successful, they will
mark it as final. Follow-up with me via email directly to report a
successful test.

Along these lines, any users interested in maintaining a PPC port for any
flavor of Ubuntu should really step up and get involved. =) Official PPC
support for Ubuntu was dropped in February of this year. That wasn't that
long ago, but it will really take a solid community effort to keep it going
past this point.
