Hope this works - Get into the GRUB menu and press <E> (it might be
something else for editing now). Go down one line to get to the kernel
line and remove VGA=788 from it. I think <B> will boot it after you made
changes. If it's not there go to the /boot/grub/ and run grep VGA=788 *
or grep 788 * and see what file it's in and remove or change it. I'm
still a bit lost with the new grub and need to rt(f)m sometime.
