Hey Nick,

Ok, I think this might be due to some requirements for compiling the code.

These are packages that will be needed to install on the machine to compile:
sudo apt-get install libc6-dev build-essential gcc-3.4 linux-headers-386
linux-kernel-headers

get the latest code from the git repo:

git clone git://feanor.sssup.it/ibdriver.git

then, inside the ibdriver folder;

make
sudo make install

if `make` fails, then `sudo make install` is useless. Just make a note of
the errors, and email it to me.
