[ubuntu-za] slow internet

Hi Guys

I have an eBox gateway server setup for a customer.  Currently the
internet connectivity is giving serious problems.  

>From the gateway server itself internet access appears to be fast as
well as from at least one user.  The rest have no or very slow access,
but they are connected to the server (dhcp) and can ping it fine.

I'm trying to connect via SSH remotely but I get as far as entering the
password.  The rest is unbearably slow.

The connection to the internet appears to be ok and I don't see anything
funny in the firewall or proxy logs.

Any advice on where I start looking for the problem?
