Also, maybe updating firefox may help! :)
System >> Administration >> Update Manager >> Click the "Check" button. Tick
mark Firefox if there is an update.

Also check that java and javascript and such are enabled for you in firefox.
it could be causing a problem.
Edit >> Preferences >> Content
make sure "Load Images..." "Enable Java" and "Enable Javascipt" are tick
marked.
Its possible your settings in firefox could be causing a problem.

You can download a "Deb" file of Google Chrome or Opera and try those sites
out (just double click the Deb file to open a window which will help you
install the Debian package with just another click).
