You are kidding, right? I mean, HOURS? Whatever email client you got, get
rid of it immediately and replace it with something better (anything will
do)!

But really, you ARE kidding, right? In case you are not, in my case I just
click something like "All messages" to select everything, then I can click
"Delete" to delete them all in a second or two. How can this take HOURS?
Well, yes, I realize it now. You ARE kidding. He he he! Or? Hm… This is a
really strange world, isn't it?

Actually I never delete any messages at all, I just file them, making them
disappear from my inbox. If I have a problem, I can still search them and if
I'm lucky I can find that someone already asked the question I had, and that
someone else already replied to it. That way I don't have to bother people
with problems that was already solved months ago… This means of course that
I am using a lot of space for my email, in my case 417 MB, but still, this
is only 6% of what GMail allows me to save. And no, I don't use an email
client at all, since GMail is webbmail, but I can if I want to (and I do
sometimes…) but i still don't have to save anything locally if I don't want
to.

But I still wonder, taking HOURS to delete only 50 messages? If we say ONE
hour, it still means that it takes more than one minute for EACH message. I
can READ the message, give it a short reply and then delete it in less than
one minute (maybe not if the message contains a lot of text however). Is
that what you try to do?
