In case you are not, in my case I just click something like "All messages" to select everything, then I can click "Delete" to delete them all in a second or two. How can this take HOURS? Well, yes, I realize it now. You ARE kidding. He he he! Or? Hm… This is a really strange world, isn't it? Actually I never delete any messages at all, I just file them, making them disappear from my inbox. If I have a problem, I can still search them and if I'm lucky I can find that someone already asked the question I had, and that someone else already replied to it. That way I don't have to bother people with problems that was already solved months ago… This means of course that I am using a lot of space for my email, in my case 417 MB, but still, this is only 6% of what GMail allows me to save. And no, I don't use an email client at all, since GMail is webbmail, but I can if I want to (and I do sometimes…) but i still don't have to save anything locally if I don't want to. But I still wonder, taking HOURS to delete only 50 messages? If we say ONE hour, it still means that it takes more than one minute for EACH message. I can READ the message, give it a short reply and then delete it in less than one minute (maybe not if the message contains a lot of text however). Is that what you try to do?
