[Ubuntu Chicago] movie help

It would be nice to have the ubuntuchicago.com site up and running. I
think it would be good as a portal for resources here in Chicago which
we can mention in the film.

I saw that www.chicagoubuntu.com was not registered so I took it upon
myself to register. Might as well control it before some company comes
along and gobles it.

I think part of the documentary should showcase the fun, ease of use and
also business aspects of Ubuntu. I think making sure we leave people
with not just a sense of WOW but also I sense of ease in finding content
about out local org info and a local website like ubuntuchicago.com
where they can get more information to local help and organizations. I
also think we need to plug organizations like freekbox who are actively
making a difference with Ubuntu in helping others. It might also make it
easier if we possibly showcased the livecd and possibly a loaded Ubuntu
desktop with xgl and games running. Obviously we need to show WINE and
all it's glory. Oh my :) Needless to say there is alot of content that
can go into just 20 minutes.

It might benefit us to have someone with a marketing background help us
out. I know someone who I could coerce into helping out. :)

Thank you,

I would agree that some of it needs to be part
documentary. At the end of the day I would hope that the single mom,
the bus driver, the mail man, the grandparents, and all the normal folk
who see a pc the same way they do a toaster or a vcr (a tool to do
something) to say-I want this, I want more information-and know who to
contact.

Yeah, we need to brainstorm now, you are absolutely
correct.

town April 6, 7, and 8th. Can we shoot for that?

I'd be careful throwing around the term
"liberal commie pinkos" with a group of people who advocate the downfall

I keep hearing everyone talk and talk
and talk about doing stuff for
this movie, but no action. Are we all
liberal pinko commies? I don't

I'm taking it upon myself to get a list
of people who want to work on
it, anyone who might have ideas etc.

Also can we get a physical meeting, or
maybe a meeting on IRC about
this? Would that be feasible for
everyone?

				I know everything is pre-production, I
just want something more than
				'WHOOOOO! YEA! LET'S DO THIS!'
