Personally i work on Qsynth. Do you have soundfont load in Qsynth ?
for start Rosegarden:
First run Jack, after Qsynth, and in the end Rosegarden. normally in
Jack/connect/audio, you must have qsynth an rosegarden connected in alsa pcm and
in Jack/connect/midi you must have rosegarden connected in Qsynth.
In Rosegarden/Settings/configure rosegarden/Sequencer/Synchronisation you must
have
Sequencer RC Timer
Jack transport Sync
Midi Clock Off
Midi Machine Off
Midi Time Off
Automatic X
