Strange issue upgrading from Edgy to Feisty -- or is it an issue?

Yeah I have a machine here that is a bit of a sloth.....the computer froze in 
the middle of setup (had to restart).....I returned and it installed 
everything fine, but it corrupted two of my partitions.  I am in the midst of 
reloading.  I am hesitant to blame the upgrade tool just yet because I don't 
know exactly why it froze and why the partitions got corrupted.
