[xubuntu-users] snap and flatpak

hi list,
for installing gimp 10 I had to install snap. So far so good.

But now I should install Octave 5.1, and this is not possible without
flatpak. So now my question is, can I have a snap- and flatpak-
installation on the same machine ?

The docs I found are not clear for me if it is possible or not
respectively good or not good, to install both systems on the same
machine.

Has anyone of you experience with both systems on the same machine ?

The bad thing is, I only have one machine available for this. A 2nd
machine is only planned for the next months.
