[xubuntu-users] dragging document icons to reposition them in the top menu-bar-type icon list apparatus

"Right click any specific icon -> Move, will unlock that icon and "glue" it
to the mouse which can then be dragged along the panel to a new position
noted by a vertical bar in the panel for placement. Left click to release
and place the item in the new position on the Panel."

It is true that it might move and item to another location, but to move it
truly to some place like the middle of the panel you have to use
"separators" (found that on a Google search), but I never got it to work
and it moves whenever some item was opened and listed on the left panel, so
not locked into position. Not sure why Xubuntu cannot make their panels
work like Ubuntu-MATE works. There you just "unlock" from panel, select
"move" and then wherever you want it, you place it, then "lock" it again,
and it totally holds in that position. Works beautifully. Xubuntu needs
to make this change to make a user friendly positioning of objects in the
panel.
