[xubuntu-users] Xubuntu 15.10 Problems with Panel Icons

I have just upgraded to 15.10 and my panel and some other icons have
become unusable. They seem to be out of synch line-by-line and I cannot
see how to correct this.

Equally on the Thunderbird interface the four icons showing exhibit the
same problem.

Does anyone know of any setting I can go to the correct this? I have
tried screen resolution (Dell 22" 1920x1080), display and themes but
none seem to work.
