This is a known Ubuntu issue.
1. For most users there's no reason to have boot on a separated
partition, you could move /boot to / and remove it from /etc/fstab ;),
ensure that grub.cfg, or what ever you use, is corrected.
2. Perhaps you don't need more space for /boot, you perhaps could purge
unneeded kernels.
Maybe there's much trash in a few directories, not only in boot.
Run
$ ls -hAl /boot/ /lib/modules/ /usr/src/linux-headers-* /var/lib/dkms/
to check for unneeded kernel remains.
