[xubuntu-users] [14.04 64Bit]-New Install:Monitor Keeps Turning Off?

I found my screen turning off as I would expect a screen saver to do, 
but would not come out of it.
I found removing xscreensaver and keeping  light locker worked fine.
Probably the other way around would work too.
They just seem to be somehow incompatible, and mutually antagonistic (ha 
sorry, anthropomorphic!!).
