This cannot be so difficult.
I hate to say this, but under Windows this is: select KB, select switch
key, click OK.

I refuse to believe, that nobody else has any problems switching
keyboard layouts.
AND I refuse to believe, that there is no information at all on this
problem,
but so far nobody on any list or forum as ever responded.
