Disable Bottom 20% Of Mouse Touch Pad On NetBook?

Hi,

I am running Xubuntu 14.04 L.T.S. 64Bit fully updated on an Asus NetBook.
My NetBook has a mouse touch pad with integrated buttons.
(touch pad buttons are not separate from touch pad surface)

Is there a method to tell Xubuntu 14.04 to disable touch
on the bottom 20% of the NetBook's touch pad?
(the problem is when I press touch pad button the mouse cursor moves)
