Hello mailing list posters,
We have come to the end of the road for the Linux distribution
comparison discussion at this point. If you are willing to discuss this
further, please find other mediums to discuss it. Same goes for the
rolling release discussion; please take it elsewhere if you are willing
to continue. The ##linux IRC channel in the Freenode network would be an
appropriate place for the discussions.
Ubuntu (or Xubuntu, to that matter) is not switching to a rolling
release model any time in the near future. The actions that the Xubuntu
team will take will be discussed only when a release model change has
been announced. The discussion will be initiated by the Xubuntu
developers and take place in #xubuntu-devel IRC channel and the
Xubuntu-devel mailing list. Everybody is free to join the discussion
then and there.
For the time being, for those who are interested, the Xubuntu team
doesn't have an official opinion for or against a rolling release model.
Cheers,
Pasi Lallinaho
