That's true and aside from that I only run it in a virtual machine.

Most Ubuntu users prefer the LTS, so do I, Arch Linux and Ubuntu LTS are  
the both most used distros until now.
Since I was an Arch Linux user too, I know that Arch Linux is more stable  
than Ubuntu, there's only an issue for newbies, since an Arch install  
comes with nothing, even without X, while Ubuntu Studio already ships with  
most audio applications installed.

I temporarily dropped Arch regarding to the switch to systemd, however, I  
also don't like upstart, for my taste the best way to go is a classical  
init.
