[xubuntu-users] Xubuntu on Aspire One D255

I have tried multiple installs and re=installs of X. onto this system. It
works fine until you move the netbook.

 

Once install is complete, I d/l and install skype. This is the only
non-standard software.

Power off / power on / log off / log on etc - all goes well.

 

Then when I carry the netbook (and it's in perfect condition) to a different
office, it refuses to boot up - at all. Taking it back to the original
location doesn't help. The system refuses to boot with this error message:

"error: attempt to read or write outside of disc 'hd0'.

Press any key to continue._"

 

Pressing any key just loops back to the same screen.

 

This is a good system for the netbook when it's working, light and fast.
This non-boot problem is just beyond me as a non-codewriter.
