As a side note, there are pros and cons for using or not using *buntus,
but they for sure aren't light, likely that lighter installs would be
faster on a netbook, while on a modern desktop PC there aren't
significant differences for the performance for what install ever. If
startup should be fast, than you should use upstart or systemd. *buntus
use upstart by default.
If you want to make upstart additionally esoteric faster, take car that
the default shell is dash and not bash.
[rocketmouse at archlinux ~]$ ls -l /mnt/q/bin/sh
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 4 Nov 19 19:29 /mnt/q/bin/sh -> dash
It seems to be that dash is the default, since I prefer bash, but for my
Ubuntu there's a link to dash.
