Hey Karlton,
the text for desktop icons remains unstyled at least before the Xfce
developers have ported the desktop to behave like Thunar folders. After
that we can see if they can be themed. There is instructions on how to
make the text background transparent at blogs around the internet (eg.
[1]). These should still apply.
We did try to make the Applications menu icon bigger too, but there was
technical limitations. Namely, there must always be some padding. I've
added this to the list of things that somebody can start investigating
for Precise Pangolin, if they are interested. I'm not sure how this
would be any different than before, since the Xfce version is still the
same, but maybe somebody has the time to implement/fix this.
We definitely read every message sent to this list. Keep the feedback
coming, and thanks for the compliment.
