[xubuntu-users] Are there any Xubuntu users here?

I am experimenting with an installation  of Xubuntu and am having 
problems finding a source of answers.  The Xubuntu mailing list and the 
Xubuntu Forum both seem to be very low volume. Xubuntu seems to be a 
purist installation of Xfce with very few, if any, gnome apps.  They can 
be added with Synaptic, but often do not appear on the menu, even when 
checked in the MainMenu app (which had to be added).  I can find no way 
to modify the installed menu.
