you mean 11.10?  is my first Xubuntu install, I chose it for Xfce, and 
it has been stable; problem is that it has a lot of s/ware for which 
I've no use (colord, avahi, etc) and therefore had to remove.  one 
problem remaining is that I cannot get it to allow me to mount.cifs the 
NAS (which I can via smbclient).
