What machine are You using? Guess, (and I am an absolute newbe on Linux) it is
relevant to know that to be able to answer You this question.
I myself am running an Ideapad U160 from Lenovo. The machines from Lenovo are
running smoothly with everything - at least the Thinkpad-series; the Ideapad-
series are causing trouble. But nothing that can't be overcome. The earlier
versions had problem with suspend/hibernate and those things. The recent
versions are cleared from this issues.
Actually, unsolved remained the interaction of the bluetooth and the wifi with
the broadcom-adapter. These two are not running at the same time. You need to
decide which one You want to use at one time and You need to do that before
starting up the system to make the setting under Windows. Freaky a bit, but it
is to survive. I still prefer this system against a Windows system, even I
have bought a legal version of the last.
