[xubuntu-users] grub2 un-reinstall

Alex,

No, it's easier than that.
Just boot off the Ubuntu Live CD, and install Ubuntu to the same partition
that Xubuntu is currently on.  The Ubuntu install will update grub2 so that
the menu will offer Windows XP and Ubuntu.

(I still have Windows XP on my first partition, but I reinstall Xubuntu
every 6 months.  I rarely use Windows but it doesn't hurt to leave it
there.)
