Sorry! I was trying to sort out an old laptop and a desktop at the same  
time and got confused.
At least there’s something there and the card hasn’t died. Is it a  
proprietary driver thats required.  Have you tried running 'Hardware  
Drivers'?
I’m hoping that it’s something simple as one of the WiFi cards I've been  
offered for the laptop is believed to be a Lucent.
