[xubuntu-users] Set DNS while using DHCP

Hi,

I wanted to keep everything the same but just change the DNS servers my
pc was using while browsing the internet. I want DHCP to do everything
else - but I want to tweak the servers I use after DHCP does it's thing.
I attempted it and ended up losing all connectivity. What is the way to
do this?

Also is there an alternative to using the default network applet in the
panel. It's a nice visual but I'm not finding it intuitive for simple
config changes. Maybe something I can install with symantic or a simple
command line utility?
