Bah, just re-read your post. Yup, Thunar, the Xubuntu file manager, does
not have net browsing capabilities. I'm afraid your going to have to go
into synaptic and search for a 'samba browser' or 'smb browser' that
will mount your windows shares. Then you can see them in
Thunar.
