[xubuntu-users] Can't mount drives

Scott,

I suggest that you look closely at /etc/fstab.

If UIDs are being referenced, these might have changed since the upgrade.
Install and run 'gnome-device-manager' to see what the current UIDs of your drives are. They may need to be changed in /etc/fstab.

Another possibility is that drives that were referenced as /dev/hdxx in Gutsy are referenced as /dev/sdxx in Hardy. This happened to me.
Again, gnome-device-manager will show you what the correct 'device file' is..

Regards,
David Collins

Greetings fellow users!

When I was using Gutsy, I could see two additional hard drives I have
installed in my system.

When I upgraded to Hardy, they left my desktop and I can find them or
mount them.

Any ideas?

Thanks!
Scott
