[xubuntu-users] Mounting all Physical Drives and Partitions

>From memory, Xubuntu used to automatically mount all partitions on your
PC (excluding your swap partition) - so then you could see your Windows
partition or other Linux partitions while in Thunar.  I think this
feature disappeared in Hardy.
Has this feature disappeared in Ubuntu, also? (Sorry, I don't use
Ubuntu.)

The reason I ask is that this feature is very impressive to regular
Windows users, and a volunteer group that I work with, that fix up old
PCs and give to charities, use Linux Live CDs to recover data, but when
I showed them an Xubuntu Live CD (XFCE Mint to be exact) the other day,
they were unimpressed because it didn't have this feature.  They decided
to continue using an (older?) Ubuntu Live CD.

Does anyone know why this feature was discontinued?
