I think the second method described in the reply to that command would work
for you, this just skips the step of changing all "edgy"s to "feisty". This
means that all you base packages are upgraded to the Feisty versions but
everything that is not on the default CD will still be at their Edgy
versions (if you were to do a fresh install from the CD you would also have
lots of updates I guess).

I'm not so sure whether this would be totally safe, so I guess an internet
update would be safest.
