[xubuntu-users] trouble changing monitor

I assume that you current Xorg configuration is just set to a higher
resolution than the smaller monitor is capable of, using the old monitor
(the one that is dying) open a terminal and enter the command "sudo
dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg" and then follow the guide, when it gets to
the section where you select screen resolutions, try picking something
rather conservative and you should be fine to connect the smaller monitor,
if not then post back because it might be something more complicated or just
less apparent.
