[xubuntu-users] Settings Manager - Display preferences don't match modes in xorg.conf

"Display preferences" under "Settings Manager" don't match the modes
in my xorg.conf.  It's not a huge problem but is there a way to force
the "Display preferences" dialog menu to only show what is configured
in xorg.conf?  It would make switching resolutions before and after
connecting a digital projector much easier if they matched.  Thanks,
