VLC is out of the question with having Qt as a dependency. I don't know
smplayer enough to say anything about it, but not having a video player
isn't a sensible option.

Besides, the Xubuntu team has worked a lot to polish Parole during the
last cycles. Maybe give it another try, and try to report back what you
think is still missing.

K3b is a Qt appliation too (afaik), so again, not possible. From my
point of view, Xfburn is able to perform the most common burning tasks.

Everything you have installed will show in the menu, except it's
specified in the application .desktop (launcher) file that it should
only be shown in [something-else-than-Xfce] or it shouldn't be shown in
Xfce. This is per-application, and the Xubuntu team has no motivation to
control this. Most of the things autohidden are hidden for a reason.

Synaptic is still phasing out. USC is a simple interface for new users;
more experienced users are able to install Synaptic themself or use
apt-get for the more advanced package management.

File a bug report (or comment on an already reported bug), and we will
see if it can be fixed by the Xubuntu team.

Helping with QA and testing [1] helps with this, as does doing specific
performance tests and actually reporting what works faster.

Xfce 4.12 won't be finished for 13.04.

The display dialog will be in Xubuntu 13.04 if at all possible.

You are probably referring to the new Thunar with tabs. At the moment,
I'm not sure where we stand with this, but we'll see if it is reasonable
to include that in 13.04.

Thanks for the praise and feedback,
