Hello
I'm new to this mailing list and that's only because I recently
stepped over this message:
http://xubuntu.com/herd4candidates
I thought that would be an opportunity to help the project as I have a
spare desktop I could use for some testing. But when I tried to get
more information about the whole testing process I got a little
confused.
As I see it, this page https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/Xubuntu/Herd4
is already outdated, since herd4 release date passed (for other
flavors of ubuntu).
But since it's out there (and the news points directly to it) some
people still try to help and do the tests (the wiki page was last
updated on feb 21) but their work is (as I see it) wasted (if not,
enlighten me ;)). If I'm right I think there should be some
information about the outdate and where to go for current tests, i.e.
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/Xubuntu/Current
I looked at archives of this list and it looks like Jim Campbell will
make a comprehensive testing wiki page, so I won't bother you with
questions about how to start helping out and wait for the outcomes of
his work.
