Depends on your priorities. If cost is the big issue then there is a 
food hall at the top of Fields mall just 15 minutes walk from the hotel:

As for the city centre, get off the Metro at either Kongens Nytorv or 
Nørreport. Maps (paper!) are available at the hotel reception. I haven't 
heard of any restaurant that's particularly Danish though... Anyone?
