[ubuntu-za] Rasperby Pi/alternative

Hi All

I'm tired of having to set up my laptop to watch Showmax or dvd's.

What device that runs linux but can connect either wirelessly or through
HDMI/USB to tv and ADSL modem.

I'm thinking along the lines of a chromecast but would rather experiment
with a linux based device.

Any idea where I can get on in Randburg/JHB?
