[ubuntu-za] Trusty Tahr not so trusty?

Hello Jan,
I have just finished my installation of Trusty and am very happy. The only
problem I have (so far [?]) is that my GPS (Garmin GPSMAap 78s) does not
connect. I plug it in and nothing happens. Is this similar to your camera
problem? If so, which of the 10 to 20 things to do made the difference? (I
was not that impressed with the article - he tries to sound very clever,
but he could be a lot cleverer).
