[ubuntu-za] Trusty Tahr not so trusty?

There's always issues soon after the release. That's why I wait for the
first updated release (6 months) before trying it.

I do software development and upgrades usually cause havoc, because
there's always some library that's broke or is not backward compatible.
I have to keep virtual machines of the previous releases to ensure that
I can compile apps that are compatible for each of the my platforms.
This is also the reason why I mostly release my (embedded) system only
on major releases, it limits the chaos I have to deal with.

I never understood why Debian was so slow at updating their stable
releases. It now makes sense to me! Cutting edge and bleeding edge works
for your personal desktop, but slow and stable is better for commercial
and industrial applications.
