The reason you won't find repositories supporting it is because you shouldn't be using those repositories in the first place. If you want the stability of an LTS, stick with the main repositories. If you want more updated software then upgrade or switch to Debian unstable.
The versions of those applications that come from other repositories are less stable than those in more recent versions of Ubuntu, rendering your LTS argument moot.
