Reading this, I have some corrections.

1) It is not out yet. And for the next few weeks there will be a LOT of
patches as the users discover things devs do not do.

2) Trim has been available since the 2.6.33 kernal. The difference is
that now it is set by default.

Now my points...

I am an LTS person. I love the stability, and I hate major upgrades
every 6 months. But, that means after 6 months, some software starts to
get stale. This can be fixed easily as you can just add the new
repository. But... With 14.04 out soon, you are going to see
repositories for 12.04 dry up. Keep in mind that 10.04 is still
supported. See how many repositories you can find that still support
it, however.

Normally, on a new LTS release, I like to wait for the first point
release. 10.0.4.1 or 12.0.4.1, or the 6 month from now 14.0.4.1...
But, I have a laptop I have to rebuild now. (It is on 10.04, and I am
rebuilding with a new and larger SSD hard drive.) I will be going
14.04, simply because it is some work, and seems a waste to go to 12.04
for only 6 months...
