Hey there

SocialVPN sounds really interesting, though I wonder what the latency would
be like. I'll install it when I have a moment. It looks like a nice open
alternative to Hamachi.

I've used various VPNs over the years and all have their issues. Many VPN
protocols require one or both end point/s to have a public IP. Others like
Hamachi are high latency due to the traffic going to the US before being
bounced back to the other members of your group. This also brings up point
to point and point to multi-point systems. In most cases that I've seen,
point to multi-point is really just a bunch of point to point tunnels going
to a server that routes traffic between tunnels.
