Hi Wikus. As Quitin pointed out, the Ubuntu team (or any FOSS project for that matter) is not allowed to write drivers for proprietary hardware, we are at their mercy, especially for newer cards.

Sorry to hear it was a bad run for you. The best approach would be to submit bug reports against this, the more feedback the team gets the better.
