See what I mean, you should have plenty of joy with the proposed 
system... depending on your backup needs you might consider going for a 
larger hdd than the 1TB though... I would also assume the 500GB to be 
used mostly for the OS and Home folders. :)

  When working on a computer you have to know enough:
  To fake what you don't know.
  Google what you can't fake.
  How (and when) to 'motivate' the computer to do what Google won't tell.
